I thoroughly enjoyed reading "When The Levee Breaks". Even though my mother-in-law doesn’t read novels very often, I loaned it to her because I thought she would relate to the story. She spends most of her time crocheting or working in the garden or yard, so I was not expecting the book to be returned any time soon.
I was surprised when she returned the book 4 days later. She said that as soon as she started reading, she could not put the book down. She woke up on Sunday morning and found that her eyes were swollen shut. She even missed church because she could not see.
The swelling soon went away and she’s fine now. I think her ordeal is a high compliment to your writing! I am looking forward to your next novel.
